Hi there, I'm Peter. Thanks for visiting me here at Your Online Therapist.

Peter Banczyk, Your Online Therapist

My skills and experience

I'm a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist (Registered Member BACP no: 00922450) with over 20 years' experience. I've provided around 15,000 treatment hours for clients from all walks of life. Since 1997, along with my wife (who is also a psychotherapist and a forensic psychologist), I've been director at Liverpool Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy (LCCP).

Online therapy with me

Thanks to digital technology, I'm now able to provide therapy to clients all around the world via video call. The beauty of online therapy is that you no longer have to make the trip into a therapist's office - your therapy can fit around your life, no-matter what life's like for you. You can chat to me at home, on your lunch break, of an evening or first thing in the morning - and you can do it wherever you're comfortable, at your own pace.

As your online therapist, I can help you with a wide range of issues - from relationships, depression and anxiety through to bereavement and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Learn more about the services I offer.

My approach

I know how daunting it can be the first time you make the move to speak to a  counsellor or psychotherapist. I've been there and I understand. I'm a friendly, supportive person and I try my best to put people at ease. When we chat, I'll treat you with complete dignity, respect and understanding. I'm really committed to providing you with a quality service without judgement or prejudice.

I was nervous about having therapy for the first time, but Peter put me at ease right away. He’s friendly and very easy to talk to.

My qualifications

I have four year Certificate in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, a one year Certificate in Counselling and a one year Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) counselling. I see a qualification though as just the start of a long journey of really learning about people and their myriad of complexities, needs and expressions.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy: 00922450
